John-Paul Madden, Esquire, is a Senior Associate with the
firm. Mr. Madden is a graduate of Princeton University (B.A.
1992) and the Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania (J. D. 1998 cum laude) where he was a member
of the Temple University Law Review. Mr. Madden was admitted
to the Bar of the State of New Jersey and the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania in 1998. He also is admitted to practice
in the United States District Court for the District of
New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Throughout
the course of his career, Mr. Madden has been engaged in
the area of civil defense litigation in both the trial and
appellate levels. He has experience defending insurance
companies in a variety of contexts, including: Unfair Trade
Practice Claims brought by State Attorneys General and individual
claimants and Bad Faith claims. Mr. Madden also has experience
in defending financial services firms against civil class
actions including consumer fraud and truth and lending claims.
He has represented insureds in defense of civil claims in
the legal malpractice and title insurance areas. He further
has handled commercial real estate litigation, commercial
development and commercial real estate transactional matters.
Mr. Madden has represented Aon or one of its affiliates
(Combined Insurance Company of America and Cambridge Integrated
Services) in a variety of matters including professional
liability/broker negligence claims; professional negligence/third
party administrator claims; consumer fraud claims and breach
of contract claims.
